Weekends are always something I look forward to. After five full days of working, this is definitely a welcome breather. So, when Mai of Budget Biyahera invited me to join the Familiarization Tour organized by Microtel Philippines, I immediately said yes. And, good thing I did. :)
I long knew that Microtel Philippines exists. In Baguio, they are located just beside the terminal of Victory Liner, where I usually ride whenever I want to visit the place. But, in my mind, checking in there would be expensive and way above my budget for accommodations because of how strategic it is located. I never checked. But, over the weekend, I got the opportunity to visit Microtel by Wyndham – UP Technohub (thanks to Mai of Budgetbiyahera.com and Sir Dandi of Microtel) and, boy, was I in for a sweet surprise.
Chill messaged me Friday to invite me to Kodanda Archery Range. Located at the upper basement of Makati Cinema Square along Roces Avenue (formerly Pasong Tamo) in Makati City, this place is worth checking out even for those who are not fond of venturing into that part of Metro Manila. It’s a space to let you release the inner Katniss in you. :)
And, just like that, the first half of my 2014 is already (quite) full! :)
If 2012 was about recreating myself and my life, 2013 was a year of taking things on. Despite and perhaps because of my commitment issues and fear of making mistakes, at the onset, I was intentional in making 2013 a banner year for my newly-recreated life. And, truth be told, I enjoyed every bit of it. :)
Our friendship goes way back. I’ve known them since we were in high school. Ever since, they’re my family outside my own. We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs. We’ve witnessed each other’s triumphs and failures. They were the ones who never left my side when I realized that I didn’t know who I was anymore. They were the ones who encouraged me to ask for support because, according to this wise person, “It takes a strong one to acknowledge that she needs help.”
