Happy Farm Villas: A Private Hot Spring Resort in Laguna

Craving for rest and relaxation? Read on to find out why you should book your next staycation at Happy Farm Villas as your own private hot spring resort in Laguna.

Happy Farm Villas is a private hot spring resort nestled in the municipality of Bay, Laguna. A mere 2-hour drive from Quezon City (10 minutes away from UP Los Banos), you can easily access this private villa if you are looking for a quiet spot to reconnect with yourself, spend time with your family and friends, and relax and rejuvenate.

As a kid, I looked forward to summers because that meant road trips to our favorite spots in the Philippines.

On numerous occasions, we’d drive to Pansol from Quezon City. We’d pack rice and adobo and stop to buy grilled fresh eel and some buko pie on the road. With the help of the famous manongs of Pansol, we’d find an open public or private hot spring resort in Laguna and enjoy the pool for a day.

Laguna was such an integral part of my summers when I was a kid that revisiting it brings back happy memories of yesteryears.

So, when my friend Claire invited me to join her and a few other travel bloggers for an overnight staycation at Happy Farm Villas, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to experience vacationing in Laguna once again.

It was supposed to be an easy decision for me, right? I was looking forward to seeing old friends I hadn’t seen in years. Plus, it had been a few months since my last trip out of Manila. But, because of my social anxiety, I was going back and forth until the last minute.

Amidst the fear that made me feel like backing out from joining the trip, I found the courage to pack my bags, get out of the house, and join a quick getaway at this private hot spring resort in Laguna.

And I’m glad I did.

If you’d like to know my experience staying at Happy Farm Villas, please read on. I’ll also share with you what to expect during your visit, the things you need to bring, and other information to help you have a fabulous time at this private villa.

Happy Farm Villas: Private Hot Spring Resort in Laguna

We arrived at Happy Farm Villas after lunch and were immediately welcomed by the gorgeous farm and mountain view from the property. It reminded me of my first time staying at a private villa in Bali, where you could watch the magnificent sunset over the rice fields.

Spacious and Comfortable Rooms

The villa can comfortably sleep up to 20 pax. It has four (4) fully air-conditioned rooms, each with two (2) queen-sized beds. And, if needed, they can also add one (1) extra single bed per room.

A room at Happy Farm Villas

Each room also has its own bathroom with heated showers and bidets (yay!).

One of the things I like about this private hot spring resort in Laguna is that you only pay for the rooms that suit the number of guests in your group. But, whether it’s only you or you’re with a group renting all the rooms, you’ll have exclusive access to this tropical paradise.

πŸ’‘ PRO TIP: They sometimes run promos, so check their available packages on the Happy Farm Villas website!

The Natural Hot Spring Pools

Inside Happy Farm Villas, you’ll find two (2) natural hot spring pools: a 5-ft deep adult pool and a 3-ft deep dip pool (which also serves as a kiddie pool), which is for the exclusive use of their guests.

Safety and sanitation are important to them, so the staff of the private resort drains the pool water when the previous guests leave and refills it for the new set of guests, so you’re guaranteed that the pool water is fresh and clean. This means, though, that the pool water may not yet be filled when you arrive.

While filling it, you can enjoy the other amenities in this private villa, like their Wellness Room with Sauna, and Entertainment + Game Rooms.

πŸ“ REMINDER: Make sure to bring swim clothes. I didn’t get to bring some (boo!), but I got to dip my feet later in the evening when my friend Mai and I were doing our catch-up chat. And indeed, the warm water from Mt. Makiling felt so good. I can just imagine if I brought my swim clothes and got to submerge my entire body in the hot spring pool. That must have been so relaxing.

Wellness Room with Sauna

Another unique offering of Happy Farm Villas is the free use of their sauna in the wellness room (which also has yoga mats and exercise equipment) – perfect for those looking to relax and take care of their health and wellness during their stay.

Entertainment + Game Rooms

If you’re looking for fun activities, then you should check out their game room. As guests of Happy Farm Villas, you can use the following facilities for free: Billiards, Table Tennis, Foosball, Darts, and Board Games.

You can also enjoy videoke and belt to your favorite tune in their Entertainment Room.

However, please note that Happy Farm Villas needs to comply with the Barangay Noise Ordinance. They are located in the quiet part of the town, so using the videoke after hours may disturb the neighborhood. But, you can still sing to your heart’s content in their videoke until 11:00 PM.

Happy Farm Villas does not have an in-house restaurant. But you can bring your own food and drinks, buy from restaurants and convenience stores near the resort, or order food trays (just ask their friendly staff for contact numbers or directions).

You can enjoy your meals at their al fresco dining area, where you can have ample opportunity to socialize with your group while enjoying the sound of nature – like we did!

πŸ“ NOTE: They don’t charge a corkage fee unless you bring a professional caterer.

🐞 Insects and bugs

As the name suggests, it’s a farm villa, so you can expect insects and bugs (typically found in the farm and rice fields) in the outdoor dining and pool area. I also found some inside the bathroom, but it’s expected for accommodations near nature.

The Wrap-Up: Happy Farm Villas – a private hot spring resort in Laguna

There are many places in Laguna where you can enjoy time with your family and friends that offer exclusivity and a private hot spring pool. But unlike many private hot spring resorts in Laguna that I’ve been to, Happy Farm Villas is a space where you can have a quiet retreat and enjoy the serenity away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

And, to me, the quiet serenity that it offers is one of their biggest draws.

I’ve been on numerous trips post-pandemic. But I’d catch myself only socializing when needed. And if it were left up to me, I’d just stay inside the room or find a quiet spot to read or write.

There’s nothing wrong with that; I get it. I honor the space I was in during those trips (and am grateful, too, that the people I traveled with respected my need to be alone at that time).

But I honestly missed having conversations with people outside my current circle – especially with those who are playing big games and whose values align with mine.

So, when I joined this staycation, one of my intentions was to catch up with my old friends and connect with new ones (even in the face of my social anxiety). From the pictures, I thought that this private hot spring resort in Laguna was a space that could help make that happen.

And that it did.

Thanks to my stay at Happy Farm Villas, I had the opportunity to catch up with my old friends and had the privilege to have beautiful and inspiring conversations for hours on end with people I’d never met before.

I have said time and again that travel is my therapy. And this trip proved that once again.

The conversations I had at Happy Farm Villas lit up a switch within me that made me start planning my life again – something I hadn’t done intentionally in the last few years because planning made me anxious.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg. I have started implementing those plans, and more than feeling anxious, I’m just excited about what lies ahead.

I get that my experience staying at Happy Farm Villas was probably something out of the ordinary. And I can’t guarantee (but I do wish the same for you) that you’ll also have a life-changing experience as I did. But I still can’t help but recommend booking your stay there.

So, if you’re looking for an affordable private hot spring resort in Laguna where you can connect with your loved ones and yourself, I invite you to check out Happy Farm Villas.
